Kevin Eugene Glenn

Kevin Eugene Glenn age 43 of Kansas City, Kansas passed away at his home Saturday, June 3, 2017 surrounded by his loving family and his army of friends by his side. He was born July 31, 1973 in Kansas City, KS the son of Charles Richard Glenn and Brenda Del Cross-Anderson. On August 7, 1999 he was united in marriage to Connie Jane Conner at the Armourdale Methodist Church. They shared over twenty seven years together. They are blessed with two children; Tyler Joesph-Eugene Glenn and Kaylee Ann-Marie Glenn. He worked over 18 years at Armourdale Furniture until his accident that left him fighting a spinal cord injury. He fought many battles including: broken neck, spinal cord injury, learning to walk again, Ankylosing Spondylitis (debilitating bone disease), broken back, Pancreatic Cancer, Lymphedema, Pressure wounds… just to name a few. He put on his boxing gloves and fought every round like a champ, always staying positive, encouraging others, smiling through the pain, doing the best he could. His motto was “Never Give Up, Never Give In” He loved and was loved by many!!! He enjoyed sports, especially KU basketball, Chiefs Football and Royals Baseball. He loved being the commissioner of the DWI Fantasy Football League. He loved his family and friends and would do anything for anyone anytime. This loss will leave an empty place in so many lives but his light will continue to shine forever. He traded those gloves for wings! He is preceded in death by his; maternal great grandparents, Clarence Anthony and Sylvia Marie Cross; paternal grandfather, Robert Charles Glenn Kevin is survived by his wife Connie Jane Conner-Glenn of the home; son, Tyler Joseph-Eugene Glenn; daughter, Kaylee Ann-Marie Glenn both of the home; father, Charles Richard Glenn (Deborah) of Kansas City, KS; mother, Brenda Del Anderson (LeRoy) of La Cygne, KS; paternal grandmother, Hazel Darlene Glenn of Kansas City, KS; sister, Kathy "sissy" Jo Rena Conner (Shawn) of Kansas City, KS; brother Brian Lee Glenn (Sarah) of Louisburg, KS; 5 nieces, Courtney, Kelsey, Jaylynn, Kaitlyn, Celia; 4 nephews, Brett, Jackson, Luke, Mason. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Maple Hill Funeral Home in Kansas City, Kansas with the burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held 6-8:00 P.M. Friday, June 9, 2017 at the Maple Hill Funeral Home in Kansas City, Kansas.
