Daniel L. Carle

Daniel Lewis Carle (Danny), born on March 31, 1960 in Smith Center, KS passed away unexpectedly in his sleep at his home in Kansas City, MO on Monday, February 20, 2019 at the age of 58. Danny lived a faithful, humble and selfless life. He helped all those in his life with an open heart and kindness. His hobbies included reading and drawing as well as collecting rare coins, historical guns and weapons. He was a graduate of Smith Center Jr & Sr High School in 1979. Shortly after school he went into the National Guards, and later joined the Army serving his first tour in Germany in 1988 and second in Italy in 1990. After his overseas travel he was stationed in Fort Carlson, CO were he retired from the military in 1996. He then moved back home to Kansas to be closer to his mother who was diagnosed with cancer. He worked at Arlwin Manufacturing and joined the Evangelical Free Church and served in the AWANAS ministries. After his mother passed away he stayed in the area for a few years before moving to Kansas City, KS to be next to Brocka and Hall family. He proudly worked at the KC Rescue Missions Center and continued being a faithful servant at Fair Haven Baptist Church. He enjoy giving his free time to help with any task or project around the church. He shared his final days with family and friends living his best life. Danny will be remembered for his faith, love, selflessness and kindness. Preceding in death by his parents Ralph and Louise Carle, sisters Lilly and Cathy, nephews Micah and Lincoln. Survived by brothers and sisters Barbara Baetz, Bernie Johnson, Irene (Chuck) Brocka, Esther (Dan) Brown, Sandy (Don) Leach, Kristy Lange, Garth (Colleen) Carle and several nephews and nieces, great and great-great nephews and nieces. Funeral Services will be held both in Kansas City, KS and Smith Center, KS. A visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 PM with services beginning at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Fair Haven Baptist Church (1111 Douglas Ave, Kansas City, KS 66103). A visitation in Smith Center will be held from 12:00-1:00 PM with services beginning at 1:00 P.M. at Evangelical Free Church (1107 N Main St, Smith Center, KS 66967). Burial will be in Smith Center, KS.
