Kyle Christopher Craft

Kyle Christopher Craft age 9 of Kansas City, Kansas peacefully passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Merriam, Kansas September 21, 2008 the son of Kristen Amber Johnson and Robert Edward Craft. Our Sweet Kyle was born healthy and then when he was four months old everything changed. Kyle started to have grand mal seizures which did a lot of damage. This was the start of our journey. A journey of endless doctor's appointments, surgeries and hospital stays but it was also a journey of strength, perseverance, hope, faith and mostly love. Kyle was the strongest little boy I know and through him I learned as mother to fight for him with everything I had and that's exactly what I did. Kyle touched so many lives with his bright smile. Even in the hospital, Kyle would smile and he loved to flirt with all the nurses. I always told him that his smile was his gift. Kyle was such a bright light in this world and we all miss him so very much. Kyle enjoyed bowling, playing in Miracle League baseball, dancing at Starstruck Performing Arts Special Needs Class and camp at Midnight Farm where he did therapeutic horseback riding and his Make A-Wish Foundation trip to give kids the world village where everything was adapted for wheelchairs. Kyle was preceded in death by his sister Kaylee Ann Craft; aunt Shelly Denise Huddleston; grandfather Richard Dennis Huddleston Sr. He is survived by his mother Kristen Amber Johnson and her husband William of Kansas City, Kansas; father, Robert Edward Craft of Edwardsville, Kansas; maternal grandmother, Susan Huddleston of Kansas City, Kansas; paternal grandparents Terry Ray and Robin Lynn Craft; paternal great grandparents, Bob and Dee Campbell of Stover, Missouri and Ed and Carol Craft of Kansas City, Kansas; uncle Richard "Ricky" Dennis Huddleston Jr. and his wife Shaterria of Olathe, Kansas; two brothers, Noah Alexander and Izaiah Flores; two sisters, Kasey Nicole Craft and Jaquline Elizabeth Johnson; and many cousins. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Maple Hill Funeral Home, Kansas City, Kansas with the burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Maple Hill Funeral Home.
