Leslie Ann Camacho

Leslie Camacho passed away March 13, 2012, in Lenexa, Kan. Leslie (Moretine) Camacho was born April 20, 1976, in Kansas City, Kan., to Russell A. Moretine and Cindy Mendoza. Leslie attended Guardian Angels grade school and St. Pius X High School and graduated in 1995. She was a loving mother, child, sister and friend. For the last six years Leslie worked at KU Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, at Maple Hill Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home, with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. Burial will follow services at Maple Hill Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Leslie Ann Camacho Memorial Fund for the benefit of her family c/o Bank of America. Leslie was dedicated to lovingly raising her children who were the greatest treasures in her life. She was a loving and helpful coach to her children, and would do anything for them. Her children always came first and her greatest happiness always came out when she was do things for her children. She showed her children to always stay strong in bad situations and to live their lives to the fullest. Leslie always proud of and stood behind her children no matter the circumstances or choices they made and was always there to steer them in the right direction. She inherited her strength, kindness and will to do all she could for those she loved from her mother. She was a dedicated and dear sister to her siblings who loved her deeply. She was a woman who cared passionately about making a positive difference in the lives she touched. Her bright eyes, beautiful smile, kindness and sense of humor enlightened everyone who was blessed enough to know her. It is with great sadness that our dear Leslie has departed this life too early for us to fathom. Her spirit and love will remain deep in our hearts forever. Leslie will be the guiding spirit that will always provide protection, love and support from above to us as she is our Angel. Leslie was preceded in death by her grandfather, Robert P. Mendoza, her grandmother, Marjorie E. Paden, her grandparents, Virginia Moretine and Richard Moretine, and her brother, Anthony B. Moretine. Leslie is survived by her children, Anthony, Angel, and Ariana Camacho, her mother, Cindy Mendoza and her spouse Jose Mendoza, her father, Russell Moretine, her sisters and brother, Alisha, Adrianne and Jose Mendoza Jr.; her grandmother, Nana Mendoza; her sister, Kelly Moretine, and many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and relatives.
