ROBERT DALE GOUCHER Robert Dale Goucher (Bob) left this earth on August 20, 2014 to go walk with the angels in heaven, with all his family by his side to join his parents Ivan and Bernice Goucher and brothers Charles, Raymond and Ralph Goucher. Sisters Barbara and Beverly Goucher, Thelma Yuille, Florence Gregory, Betty Crowley. They are all probably sitting around seeing who can tell the tallest tale. He also joins his In laws Glen and Margaret Dotson and adopted son Mark Goucher. He is survived by his wife Carolyn of 54 years, daughters Terri (Ron ) Beard, Carrie (Mark) Matteson of Kansas City, Kansas, and Amy(Billy) Barr of Port Orchard Wa. Grandchildren Lesley and Kristin Matteson, Stacy (Luther) Young, Stephanie ( Josh) Billaci, Austin Goucher and MacKenzie Barr. Great granddaughters Addison and Adrianna Young . Also two lifetime very good friends Dale Worman and Bill Weimer that would do anything in the world for him. Bob broke his back at age 21 and was paralyzed. Doctors told him that he would never walk. But he is a fighter and proved them wrong and has fought through more health issues than most will ever have to. He was a fighter right up to the end. Bob worked for Schroer Manufacting for 20 years before retiring in 1983, after having back surgery. He and Carolyn later tried their hand owning a liquor store for 3 years till medical problems made it too hard to keep it opened. For many years Bob repaired cars in his garage . When he got son in laws he would also keep them busy teaching all the tricks of the trade. When he was unable to stand to work on the cars he started repairing clocks and built a clock shop in the upstairs of his barn. All of the grand kids loved spending time with grandpa in the clock shop while he worked they played. There wasn't too much that Bob wasn't able to repair with all his friends someone was always able and willing to fix it. "When tomorrow starts without me, don 't think we are far apart, for every time you think of me, I'm right here in your heart." In Lieu of flowers Robert's family requests memorial donations be made to Crossroads Hospice 11150 Thompson Avenue, Lenexa, KS 66219.
