Alicia Turrubiates Garcia, 64, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away January 22, 2022. Even though Alicia was born on May 6, 1957, since she was a child, her mother knew how special she was and celebrated her birthday on May 10th, giving her two birthdays to celebrate every year throughout her life. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Ricardo A. Garcia, son R. Abram Garcia, daughter Dr. Melisa Jimenez, son in law Emmanuel Jimenez, and her grandchildren Alyssa S. Jimenez, Isaiah A. Jimenez, and Eli N. Jimenez, as well as many other loving relatives including sisters, brothers, sisters and brothers in law, nieces, nephews and her church family. She is preceded in death by both of her parents. Marcelino Turrubiates Castro and Maria De Los Angeles Hidrogo. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing her knew the impact she left wherever she went. She had the opportunity to travel throughout her life, often ministering wherever she was called. She served her community faithfully striving to live her life according to Matthew 25:35, “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,” For anyone who would like to pay their respects, there will be a visitation on Friday, January 28th from 5-8PM and a funeral service on Saturday January 29th at 10AM. Both events will be held at Good News Church located at 2408 S Mill st, Kansas City, KS, 66103. The burial will follow at 12PM at Maple Hill Cemetery located at 2301 S 34th St, Kansas City, KS 66106
