Brenda J. Henson

Brenda Jeanette Henson, 63, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022. Brenda was born on July 7, 1958 in Shreveport, Louisiana, the daughter of Ulysses Henson Jr. and Bobbie Jean (Cunningham) Henson. Brenda is preceded in death by her mother, Bobbie J Henson. She is survived by her father, Ulysses Henson, Jr (Mr. U).; step-mother; Jaunice Henson, son Maurice Henson; daughter Nikole Henson, brother Calvin Henson and step-brother Kenneth Donley. Others mourn her passing, family members in Louisiana, Texas and many friends. Brenda accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Pastor Roy A. Reed at the Second Baptist Church in Argentine, KS. Brenda graduated from Washington H.S and Donnelley College and completed her degree in Cosmetology. Brenda worked for the Isle of Capri Casino as a floor manager and General Motors car manufacturer. Brenda enjoyed shopping and finding bargains, she also made sure to make banana puddings for Mr. U, sweet potato pies and many other dishes she knew he enjoyed. Brenda and Mr. U. were more like best friends, they talked several times a week. Whatever she thought Mr. U wanted or needed she would do her best to make it happen. “WE WILL MISS HER.” Brenda also loved her children unconditionally, she gave them a perfect childhood, and for her entire life was the best mother a child could have; Her children are devastated by her passing. A visitation will be open for all to attend on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, from 12:00-1:00 P.M.
