    Clara Mae Ward

    March 7, 1924 - May 4, 2022

    Clara Mae Ward, 98, went to meet her Lord and Savior on May 4, 2022 at her home in Tonganoxie, KS. Clara was born in Evansville, AR to Elbridge and Eula Dunagan. She moved from Arkansas to the Kansas City area where she lived for the majority of her life. Clara was a loving mother, grandmother, and aunt. She had an immense love for her family and God. Her family knew her love for them, her heart was always full. Reverend Clara Mae Ward was a minister of the Word of Faith, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Carrying her guitar in hand, she traveled and ministered through song and praise. She will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Heaven has gained a beautiful angel. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert Ward, and her siblings, Betty Dunagan, Pauline Carroll, Maxine Holcroft, Luther Dunagan, Irene Pennell, Tom Dunagan, Jean Kentch, Wilma Dorris, and Reba Williams. She is survived by her children, Brent (Vicki) Cumbie, Arlie Moore, Luke (Barbara) Cumbie, Diana (Richard) Barnes, Lynnetta (Maurice) Randazzo, and Ryder (Renstia) Cumbie; 24 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM with Funeral Services beginning at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Maple Hill Funeral Home followed by burial at Maple Hill Cemetery.
