Corey Michael Jones

Corey Michael Jones, 24, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away March 11, 2022. He was born June 6, 1997 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center the son of Brett and Renee Jones. Corey lived life to the fullest. If you met him you probably instantly fell in love with his contagious personality. He marched to the beat of his own drum and took every opportunity for adventure he could. Behind his funny and charming personality he also was very thoughtful and sweet. He cared for everyone he knew and everyone who knew him cared for him. Corey worked as a stagehand in the entertainment industry. He worked at major art and boat shows, sport tournaments, and concerts. He loved his sneakers, watching Nascar and spending time with his son. He was a ladies man and a real Casanova. Most importantly he was a great father, son, grandson, brother, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by a cousin, Tevin Gentry. He leaves behind a son, Braxton Jones; parents Brett Jones (Ellen) and Renee Jones (Tim); siblings, Aaron Jones (Mary), David Jones (Andrea), and Samantha Chandler (Mitch); grandparents David and Marsha Jones; and nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. A celebration of life will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM Monday, March 21, 2022 at Maple Hill Funeral Home.
