Gloria June Ruberson

Gloria June Ruberson, 90, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away December 23, 2020 at Providence Medical Center. She was born February 13, 1930 in Kansas City, the daughter of Edward and Nellie Jansen. Gloria owned a catering business where she catered many dinners for her church, First Baptist Church Kansas City, KS. She was a very active member in her church and church groups. Gloria was well known for her meticulous decorating for the holidays, especially her christmas decorating. She also loved sewing, quilting, crocheting and creating anything else she could make with a needle and thread. Most importantly she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed. Gloria is preceded in death by her husband, James; parents Edward and Nellie; and a daughter, Nancy Hines. She is survived by granddaughter, Gloria Arnold and husband Greg of KCK; great granddaughters Laurel Vande Krol and Elizabeth Vande Krol; and great great grandchildren Freya Chamberlin and Atlas Chamberlin. A streaming of the private funeral service will begin at 10 AM Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Facebook.com/MapleHillFH. All are invited to a graveside service tentatively beginning at 11 AM at the Maple Hill Cemetery.
