He retired from BNSF Railroad in 1999 after 33 years of employment. It is impossible to define who Dad was in a few short paragraphs, but we will do our best. Jimmy was very loyal to his family, club brothers and friends. He was known to start making calls at 5:00 am on any given day to his loved ones! This scripture best defines his spirit. Matthew 18:3 “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven… Dad was like a big kid, always playing pranks and loved to invite us to join in on the fun. Some of our fondest, collective memories of him are spontaneously going outside to play in the pouring down rain. No doubt, he is doing this in Heaven at this very moment. Visitation will be held on July 31st from 11:00 am-12:15 pm and service from 12:15 pm to 1:00 pm at Maple Hill Funeral Home. Immediately following will be Junebug’s final ride to 19623 NE 164th St, Kearney, MO 64060 where there will be a military tribute and party following.
