Joyce Jean Dent

December 6, 1940 - June 19, 2022

Joyce Jean Dent, devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Sunday June 19th. She was born December 6th, 1940 to Doris and Betty Bias. Joyce was a graduate of Turner High School class of 1958. She had lots of hobbies including fishing, reading and cooking. She rarely missed a KC Royals game with George Brett being her all-time favorite player. She herself was an outstanding ball player. More than anything, she loved her family. Throughout her life, Joyce was presented with many trials and faced each one with selflessness and unwavering strength. She had the ability to connect with anyone who met her, making her influence on this world one that is hard to match. Joyce is survived by her sister, Claudia (Joe) Fazio, sons Scott (Lisa) Dent, Russ (Jane) Dent, grandchildren Amanda Wensel, Jacob (Amber) Dent, Ashley (Cory) Gouvion, Gus Dent and Andrew Dent as well as 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Judy Jones. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
