Lester Dean Lovell

Dean Lovell, known to all as "Uncle Dean" passed away Tuesday, July 20th, 2021 in the home of his nephew, Robert "Bob" Pock. Dean had been under Hospice Care and passed peacefully. He was eighty-five. Lester D. Lovell was born April 30, 1936 in Olivet, Kansas, the son of Clarence and Lizzie Mae Lovell. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Germany. A huge Kansas City Royals, Chiefs and Jayhawk fan. He enjoyed music, reading and playing the lottery. He worked as a livestock handler and security guard at the Kansas City Stockyard where he retired. He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Lizzie Lovell ; a brother, Wayne Lovell; a sister, Thelma Farmer; a niece Colleen Velaer; a great niece Melinda Bouse; and a great nephew Rodney Farmer. Dean leaves behind Bob Pock, nephew of Prairie Village and Sue Blass, niece of Topeka. He will also be missed by several great nephews and nieces and more. There will be a graveside service on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 10AM at Maple Hill Cemetery.
