Ramona "Mona" was a social butterfly that loved going to the casino and making friends with patrons. She was known for her impeccable nails that she loved having done with beautiful colors and plenty of bling. Mona enjoyed playing cards and dominos till the early mornings with family and friends, not quitting until she won. In her retirement years, Ramona enjoyed talking on the phone, laughing, and retelling stories with her close and dearest friends. She loved music and dancing to cumbias, and you could always catch her at a dance or in her kitchen dancing while she cooked. Mona loved to cook, and she was the best at it. Her sweet tea was her specialty; her fried chicken was a favorite and requested by many. She might even ship her seasoned flour mixture to you if she liked you enough. You could never leave her house hungry if you ever stopped by for a visit. Ramona was a one-of-a-kind woman with a spunky personality, she always had a smile, and she was sure to make you laugh; when she walked into a room. Her smile and laughter lit up any room. Her favorite color was green, and she made sure everyone knew. Ramona was a tiny, feisty woman who never held back and always spoke her mind, especially when many preferred her not to - she didn't care. Mona had a passion for life, her family was her priority, and her friends were next in line. Mona was everyone's favorite person, friend, and Tia, and she made sure you felt her love and laughter. She was the glue that maintained her family's connections, and she will be greatly missed. On June 12, 1953, Ramona Rea was born in Kansas City, MO, to Phillip Briones and Carmen (Rodriguez) Briones.
