    Rodney E. Ulmer

    February 16, 1953 - October 5, 2020

    Merriam, KS – Rodney E. Ulmer, died Monday, October 5, 2020, at age 67 at Advent Health Center in Shawnee, KS. He is now safely in the presence of God, and his Lord, Jesus Christ. Rodney was born in Kansas City, KS, and graduated from Argentine High School in 1971. After high school, Rodney joined the Army and served his country overseas in Korea. After his service, he became a firefighter in Kansas City, KS and was a paramedic on the KARE Unit. Rodney was the son of Emil and Helen Ulmer, who proceeded him in death. He is survived by his wife Kim, and sons Rodney, Eric, and Rich Ulmer and daughter Jennifer Carter. He also leaves several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at the Edelweiss Club House, 7201 Switzer, Merriam, KS from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the New City Church, 7230 Quivia Rd, Shawnee, KS 66216.
