Rosamond Alice McGill Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Rosamond McGill, 89, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away on June 28, 2022 at Sharon Lane Health Center, Shawnee, KS. She was born in Oakland, CA., daughter of the late Ruth & Ernest McCarty. Graduated Alameda High School and met Harold McGill while he was in the Navy. The McGill’s were married for 69 years until his passing on March 22, 2021. Rosamond was a stay-at-home Mom, later in life traveled with Hallmark’s traveling Kaleidoscope as part of the educational team. She volunteered at Advent, and enjoyed working the elections. She loved walks on the beach, tending to her colorful flowers in her garden. She loved spending time with her friends and was always so proud of her children and their families. Surviving are three children; Katherine (Mitch) Warren, Steven (Yolanda) McGill and Kristie (Craig) Arrington. Five Grandchildren; Laura (Jack) Shay, Kevin (Maureen) McGill, Jeffrey Enderle, Brian (Courtney) McGill, Josh Arrington and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Ernest, Harold, and Erdman and two sisters: Patricia and Erlene. Visitation will be held at Maple Hill Funeral Home on Wednesday July 6, 2022 at 1:00 PM located 3300 Shawnee Dr, Kansas City, KS 66106, followed by the funeral at 2:00 PM with graveside service to follow.
