Brandon Joseph Schuster

Brandon Joseph Schuster passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the age of 27. Brandon was born September 28,1998 in Balti, Moldova and was lovingly chosen by Todd and Michelle Schuster to be their son when he was just over a year old. He grew up in Stillwell, Kansas and graduated from Blue Valley Southwest High School. Brandon was a boy scout, played baseball, and participated in track and field while in high school. Most recently, he worked for Coleman Movers and for The Dance Effect. He loved mixing his own music, and you could sometimes find him in a local club on a weekend night serving as DJ for dance parties. Brandon was kind and compassionate; he selflessly helped people whenever he could. You could count on Brandon to begin a conversation with, “How are you doing? How are things going for you?” and truly listen to your response. More than anything, Brandon loved his family. He tenderly assisted and protected his sister, Ashley, who will miss him helping her pick out clothes and pack her bag to visit her grandparents in Colby. He adored his father and always gave him thoughtful birthday gifts such as taking Todd to Josie’s Records to pick out a couple of vintage vinyls for his collection. He also was an exemplary grandson, always answering his phone on the first ring when his grandparents called, and truly engaging in meaningful conversations with them. And no one can forget Brandon DJ-ing through the 100-degree heat at his sister Katrina’s wedding! Ultimately, his actions consistently demonstrated devotion and appreciation for his family. Brandon was predeceased by his mother, Michelle Schuster, his grandmother, Ruth Schuster, and his grandfather, Richard Calliham. He is survived by his father, Todd Schuster (Rose); his sister, Katrina Slovikoski (Nick and niece Stella); his sister, Ashley Schuster; his grandmother, Kathy Calliham; his grandfather, Donald Schuster; his best friend, Ricky Cauthon, and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He will be forever missed by those who knew and loved him. A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
