SSG Daniel Antonio Gonzalez, 26, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away on May 17, 2025, in Chico, California. He was born on February 26, 1999, in Storm Lake, Iowa, to Gerania Ramos and Carlos Gonzalez. Daniel was a proud graduate of Wyandotte High School, Class of 2017. Shortly after graduation, he answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army on October 2, 2017. Dedicated and courageous, Daniel served honorably and exemplified the values of integrity, respect, and commitment. On September 25, 2021, he married the love of his life, Lisandra Garcia. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams. Daniel will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted son, loyal brother, and cherished friend. He had a kind heart and a generous spirit. His passions were many—he loved the thrill of riding his motorcycles, working on his cars, staying active outdoors through gardening, running, cycling, tennis, and volleyball, and expressing himself through music, especially singing karaoke and playing the guitar. Above all, Daniel treasured time spent with family, friends, and his dogs Danonino and Slick. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lisandra Garcia; his parents, Gerania Ramos (Raul) and Carlos Gonzalez (Erika DeLaCruz); his siblings, Julieta Saray Ojeda (Chad), Irvin Gabriel, Manuel Alberto, Miguel Angel, and Keyla Scarlet Gonzalez; nieces and nephews Eduardo Geovani Saucedo, Analilia Peyton Ojeda, Karim Hamza Fareed Saleem Alawna, Athena Leandra Mikhael-Gonzalez, Perseus Fermin Lycan Ojeda; his aunts and uncles Mark Ramos, Bonifacio Ramos, Jose Ramos, Fermin Ramos, Eduardo Ramos, and special uncle Cesar Alejandro Gonzalez; his cousin Antonio Gonzalez; his parents-in-law, Carmen Beatriz Garcia and Rafael Garcia; his sisters-in-law, Sarai and Ester Garcia; and many more extended family members and dear friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. A visitation will be held from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Maple Hill Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service beginning at 10:30 AM. Daniel will be laid to rest with military honors at Leavenworth National Cemetery. His courage, kindness, and joy will never be forgotten. La visita será el jueves 5 de junio de 2025, de 8:30 a.m. a 10:30 a.m. en Maple Hill Funeral Home, seguida por el servicio fúnebre a partir de las 10:30 a.m. Daniel será sepultado con honores militares en el Cementerio Nacional de Leavenworth. Su valentía, amabilidad y alegría jamás serán olvidadas.
