It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of our beloved Margaret Medellin, who departed this world peacefully on April 8, 2026, surrounded by the love and warmth of her family after bravely facing a prolonged illness. Margaret was a beacon of love and strength, whose legacy will forever inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, on May 14, 1943, to Margarito and Juanita (Hernandez) Rodriguez, Margaret exemplified grace and resilience from an early age. She was predeceased by her husband Tino Trinidad Medellin, her parents Margarito and Juanita Rodriguez and her siblings Michael Rodriguez, Robert Rodriguez, Paul Rodriguez, and Anna Torrence, whose memories she cherished deeply. Margaret led a fulfilling career, working at Jianas Brothers, and later retiring from Parker Mcory in 2000. Her dedication and hard work were hallmarks of her character, and she was respected and loved by her colleagues and friends. Margaret's heart was vast and open, and her home was always filled with laughter and love. She leaves behind a devoted family who will carry her spirit forward: her children Juanita Reyes (Martin), Tina Medellin, Trinidad "Tino" Medellin (Joey), and Mickey Medellin. She was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren and delighted in the joy of twenty five great-grandchildren , each of whom brought her immense happiness. She is also survived by her loving siblings, brother John Rodriguez, brother Rey Rodriguez, sister Mona Wiggins (Pat), and sister Belinda West (Danny). Their bond was a testament to the enduring love and unity that Margaret fostered throughout her life. A service to celebrate Margaret’s extraordinary life will be held on April 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Guardian Angels, located at 42nd Mercier. Rosary will be said before mass. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a remarkable woman who touched the lives of all she met. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Davita Dialysis and St. Luke’s Hospice, whose care and kindness provided comfort to Margaret in her final days. We are forever grateful for their dedication and support. Margaret Medellin was a woman of unwavering faith, a nurturing matriarch, and a cherished friend. Her legacy of love, kindness, and strength will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
